Hundreds of children gaze at their doors every day whenever someone knocks. You can give them a chance to rejoice; the joy that they have missed very much. We call for the freedom of all arbitrarily detainees and forcibly disappeared to make it a happy Eid.

Sana'a – Today, Mwatana concluded its campaign "Their Eid With Their Families", which was an extension of the campaign "Ramadan between their Families" that started on April 30, 2020 in the first week of Ramadan. The campaign aimed to shed light on the victims of arbitrary detention and enforced disappearance of all parties to the conflict in Yemen.Mwatana has published on its Arabic and English pages on social media platforms (Facebook and Twitter) 124 names of the victims of these violations in the prisons of the Ansar Allah (Houthis), the forces of President Abd Rabou Mansoor Hadi, and the Southern Transitional Council (STC).During May 2020, Mwatana and other NGOs issued joint statements calling for the immediate release of the journalists whom were arbitrarily detained, particularly those sentenced to death by the Houthi-controlled Specialized Criminal Court in Sana'a. Mwatana ended its campaign by launching an awareness video explaining the rights that parties and authorities must guarantee when conducting detention operations, and also explaining ways to communicate with the Legal Support Unit at Mwatana when arbitrary detention or enforced disappearance takes places. The month of Ramadan passed, in which some detainees were able to join their families. Mwatana calls on all parties in Yemen to continue so that all arbitrarily detainees and forcibly disappeared join their loved ones to share with them the joy of Eid Al Fitr.
